Please Read Before Using the Tool
Fix My Speaker is a free, browser-based utility designed to help eject water and dust from device speakers using low-frequency sound waves. It was built to be genuinely useful, and for many people in many situations, it is. But there are real limits to what any audio-based tool can do, and we want to be upfront about them before you use it.
The Tool Has Limits, and We’re Honest About That
Fix My Speaker plays a 165Hz tone through your device speaker to create vibrations that physically move water droplets and loose debris toward the speaker grille opening. This approach works well for:
1: Light to moderate water exposure (splashes, brief rain, condensation)
3: Fine dust and debris sitting near the surface of the speaker grille
3: Situations where sound quality dropped suddenly after recent exposure
It is unlikely to fully work for:
1: Devices submerged in water for extended periods
2: Saltwater exposure (salt residue corrodes internal components, a sound tool can’t fix corrosion)
3: Devices with physically cracked or damaged speaker components
4: Water that has reached deep internal components beyond the speaker assembly
We state this clearly because we’d rather you understand what the tool can realistically do than use it with inflated expectations and be disappointed.
Use at Your Own Risk
By using Fix My Speaker, you accept full responsibility for the outcome on your device. We are not liable for any damage, whether pre-existing, occurring during use, or occurring afterward, to your phone, tablet, laptop, earbuds, or any other device.
This includes but is not limited to:
1: Speaker failure or reduced sound quality following use
2: Internal water damage that progresses despite using the tool
3: Any hardware malfunction unrelated to water or dust that occurs coincidentally during or after use
4: Damage resulting from having your device volume set incorrectly while using the tool
The sound frequencies used by Fix My Speaker are within the normal audio playback range of your device, equivalent to playing music, and are not inherently harmful to properly functioning hardware. However, devices already compromised by water damage may be in a fragile state, and continued operation of any kind carries risk.

If your speaker is still not working correctly after using the tool, or if you have any concern about the internal condition of your device, please take it to a qualified repair professional or contact your device manufacturer’s support team. Don’t rely solely on an internet tool to assess serious hardware problems.
Blog Content Is Informational Only

2: Manufacturer repair policies, warranty terms, and water resistance ratings vary and can change
3: We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from following blog advice without first checking whether it applies to your specific device and situation
Always cross-reference important decisions with your device manufacturer’s official documentation.
